Designing the Best Horror Store for Horror Fans
Hey there, Merry Readers!
Glittersoul and I have been working on the official Happy Horror store since we started it a few days ago and while we’ve got some big ideas for it, we’d like to ask you horror fans what you’d like to see in your ideal horror specialty shop.
So far we’ve got sections for zombie movies on DVD, scary clown flicks and scary clown collectibles. We’d like to add more sections, though. That means we’d like to know what you want to see!
Tell us the things you always dreamed of seeing in a shop that caters to horror fans. Maybe you want books by your favorite authors or maybe you collect a certain something. Whatever you wish more stores carried - tell us! We’ll do our best to grab it for you.
How do you let us know? Easy! Simply leave a comment on this article or visit our new forums and speak your mind.
With your help, we’re going to make Happy Horror’s store the best horror store on the internet! Don’t be shy, let us know what you like and we’ll do the rest.
Stuck for ideas? Here’s a few things we’re considering adding:
Horror Movie Soundtracks * A Vampire Section * Troma Movies *
Horror Action Figures * Sci Fi Horror Movies * Horror TV Shows *
Horror PC Games * Horror Movie Posters * Famous Monster Masks *
Survival Horror Video Games
We can’t wait to hear what you feel we should expand into next!

Those are good categories!
How about a category for (while probably not as popular) horror books?
Oh, and how about a category for Supernatural Horror … This would encompass everything beyond Vampires in the way that SciFi Horror encompasses everything beyond Zombies (assuming that zombies are science-related).
Hope this helps!

That’s a good idea, man! I’d thought of including horror books but there’s sooo many I didn’t know if they’d need categories or what. I do like the supernatural horror suggestion.. maybe what I can do is start with supernatural horror books?
And yes, EVERY comment helps!

Yeah, that’ll help narrow it down, I think. Or even a Ghost Stories category. A campfire on a dark night in the woods just isn’t the same without a ghost or two!

We took your suggestion!
Added a huge section solely about ghost stories. There’s an awe-inspiring number of books about true ghost stories, which amazes me in a way.
Thanks for commenting, totally helped us build a great new wing to the shop!

maybe a gothic section, and fantasy horror, and old school horror stuff.

art lessons (lol) - those are super suggestions
I hadn’t thought of that, actually… When you say old school horror do you mean like 80’s slasher/teen camp stuff or more like black and white?
I’ll try and get these added ASAP, but forgive if I’m a little slow I’ve got a massive workload at the moment
Thanks a ton for chiming in! Keep those suggestions coming!

Do you think we have horror movies anymore? I think they are more funny rather than horror. Perhaps I shall like to read some horror books instead of that.

Just about all horror movies have comedy to them, even the classics like the original Dracula with Bela Lugosi. There needs to be SOME humor in them to break up whatever horrific actions are happening on-screen.
That being said, there’s something to say about some of the horror books out there. We’ve covered some good ones, but there are a bunch out there waiting to be read. I’m reading through Richard Laymon’s “Beware” right now, and I saw Stephen King has a new short story book out, also.
